Why do proteges (mentees) need mentors? Primarily to get assistance from a person with appropriate expertise.

What do busy mentors expect of proteges? They expect proteges to have clear goals so time isn't wasted figuring out what to work on together.

Our Protege Needs Inventory addresses both issues: proteges indicate how much help they need, mentors indicate how much they can provide. This can be used to match mentoring partners.

When they first get together, partners compare their results to quickly agree on protege Goals to achieve and mentoring expertise and assistance to be provided.

Over 300,000 participants have used our training products to build good mentoring partnerships and achieve desired results. Each product has been field-tested and revised many times over the past 28 years with individual clients, until, today you can purchase off-the-shelf products that work -- and save valuable time! For example, our half-day Mentoring for Results partner training use to be a full day. Today, it still jump starts mentoring relationships by 2 to 6 months, according to feedback from mentors who were trained alone or had no previous training. This is why the Air National Guard executed a perpetual license for unlimited use of a customized version of our Mentoring for Results partner training for its 110,000 members.
